Art Exhibits – “My Heart Changes”

Alex Jones, Resident Artist–
When working with students, Alex encourages students to heighten their awareness of the importance of contrasting size and shapes and the natural patterns that distinguish surface quality. In this way they begin to notice the seemingly obvious yet overlooked characteristics that make something unique. Alex offers an aopportunity to experiment with the materials so students can discover there are many ways to arrive at a solution and learn, through experience, which mediums are the most appropriate. In addition, Alex emphasizes the sense of accomplishment and confidence that comes from the positive results of a committed and focused effort.
